Surgical Service

At Catoctin we perform a wide range of surgeries from routine spays and neuters to advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Our orthopedic surgeries include fracture repair and cranial cruciate surgeries. We often perform one or two cranial cruciate ligament surgeries weekly at our clinic.


If a more specialized surgery is appropriate, we refer our clients to our board certified veterinary surgeon in the area; Dr. Lazar and Dr. Nicholson. They both come to the clinic to assess client cases and perform surgery.


We are also one of the only clinics in Loudoun County offering laser surgery. Laser surgery provides a less painful surgery as it seals nerve endings when it cuts them. As a result your pet will experience less pain and be more comfortable post operatively. Laser surgery also seals small blood vessels during surgery, which reduces bruising and swelling, and often reduces the time your pet needs to be under anesthesia. Laser surgery is always an option for owners to choose when their pet comes in for a surgical procedure.
